Slot Review Zuma Slots or Not?
Okay, who’s played Zuma? It’s a traditional “Match three” form of computer game where players shot colored balls at a moving line of balls in order to make groups of three or more balls of the same color. Do so and those balls disappear. Fail to make groups and the balls keep heading toward doom. There are many variations on the game out there, but Zuma is a classic known for its frog character, grammatically incorrect sentences, and chant of Zuma! The match three version of the game is downright addictive. It of course isn’t a gambling game but a game of skill which gets harder with each level passed. So when I saw a Zuma slots game, I had to check it out to see - how do they turn Zuma into slots.
Well, the slots game does away with the rolling balls and the shooting skill aspect of the game. Instead you have a traditional five reel, 20 payline slots game with various tiki heads, the Zuma frog, the Zuma icon and the 9, 10, J, Q, K symbols. Oh, you still match three or more, but now on the slots reels. No more colored balls to shot at. But hit three frogs and you’ll trigger the Zuma free spin bonus game with a Zuma twist. First you’ll shot a tiki boss to determine how many free spins you win. Then after you’ve taken your free spins, you’ll shot another tiki to determine the multiplier for your winnings.
The slots game isn’t classic Zuma and dependent on skill (because I’d clean up if it was), but the graphics are colorful and fun. The chant of Zuma will bring back memories for those who love the classic Zuma game. Besides, I’m winning and spinning.
The game is currently available at Sky Vegas casino.
